Blackpool 2008 Critique

An unspoilt breed which remains true to type over the years. not being judged in the best conditions on the day, though the ring was ample to assess movement correctly. There seems to be a number of light eyes creeping into the breed which does detract from the beauty of the head of this breed. A number of weak fronts and poor pasterns and cow hocks were in evidence: this quite often is due to rearing, and can sometimes be improved with steady road work. My CC winner and BOB a top class dog from Limit and Open truly personifies the breed. So well balanced, correct coat and moving out well. Best of heads and dark eyes. A noble dog who should go on to do well. My RCC dog so typical just felt he lacked the maturity in body. CC bitch and RCC were two outstanding Champion sisters. The breed must be in good heart, when animals of this calibre are being shown.
